COMMISSIONERS COURT

mr arnold     i want to thank you for putting together an intelligent committee to review the budget office.

The committee members you chose are trusted and showed true leadership.  They are a great team of people that only want the best for this county.  I was very impressed with the way they conducted their selves and the creative ideas for a sub committee of strategic planning.

by not Hiring an outside source and costing this county more and more money needlessly   their idea to enlist the help of our community with volunteers,  already familiar with multiple year planning,  will enable our county government  to look to the future hopefully with expectations of growth mingled with prudent financial decisions.

The use of in house professionals that know the intricate details of how this government has worked,  and county employees that have ideas how to improve our ability to conduct a more efficient work atmosphere  will save us countless hours of training an out side source.

This is what our county has been waiting for.  Government in action that taxpayers can trust.  Department heads and elected officials that take pride in doing an excellent job for the voters.  Doing the right thing without pressure or leverage leadership applied.

I encourage this court to vote yes to the recommendation of the budget office committee.

Gentleman we have to find a resolution to the hockey situation.  This court entertained the idea to cancel the hockey season when it was entered on the October 6th agenda.

Placing blame wrongly on mr adams will not control the situation nor will it continue in the future to create a friendly atmosphere for additional sports activities.

Just simply say a mistake was made and apologize.  I am fully aware that not all of the commissioners wanted to be involved with this decision.

Now we need to fix the problem and not make mr adams an enemy of this county.   He placed faith in his decision to stay at ford park this past year when he could have left.   Now treat him fairly and do every thing you can to show him our appreciation for his efforts.

The county auditors office is to be commended for scrutinizing the invoices they are required to pay.  It is a known business practice to make sure all inventory is accounted for and all monies are correct before paying a bill.

You would not pay a personal bill of yours without first checking out the merchandise and the tax and interest you are being charges.

Thank goodness mr swain found mistakes in the billing of this county

For those generators.    He saved us hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I would think every person on this court would want every generator found and cataloged so that we can have a true count.

A courtesy call from our county judge asking these other government entities  to pay their portion of the bill would  help  the confusion of this delima.
