Farewell to a Truly Tireless Trail Advocate

On April 22, 2026, fans of multipurpose trails lost a truly tireless advocate with the passing of Lennie Stover. Lennie is most known for his work on the Red Line Greenway in Cleveland over the course of multiple decades. It is a tremendous achievement and a final phase being planned over the Cuyahoga River and into downtown will make it even better. But Lennie was also happy to share his knowledge and skills with many other trail projects - including the Veterans Trail in Summit County. He had just joined the TASCforce team to offer assistance with building a trail on Hudson's recently purchased 1-mile section leading out of downtown. He will be sorely missed, but his inspiration will be carried on by the team. (Photo Credit: Picture stolen from a Facebook post by James Casey on 04/23/26.)
