On Friday, the Mayor of Akron, Dan Horrigan, announced that the City of Akron would now consider bids to conserve the 45 acre parcel rather than only proposals to develop it. This is largely due to the efforts of the Preserve the Valley citizen's action coalition. Congratulations to them!
